In a war between Chaos Gods or Old ones, who do you think would win? Why? How would the battle pan out?
chaos whats and whatsits
chaos whats and whatsits
Warhammer 40k vs lovecraft mythos.
Warhammer 40k vs lovecraft mythos.
why did you not specify that
why did you not specify that
Thought it would be common knowledge on a forum that often talks about it.
You might want to specify that you're talking about Warhammer 40k. Otherwise you just look dumb. Also consider, there are old ones in 40k that are based upon the Lovecraft Mythos, and 40k as a setting is "this but BIGGER!" then 40k often comes out on top of most crossovers.
40k has it's own "old ones" (the Necron's lore ties into them, War in heavens, etc). Lovecraftian gods are a whole pantheon of weird shit, but I'd say that Slannesh would just wake up Azathoth for shit and giggles and that'd be the end of it.
I don't know which one Morgan Freeman falls in, but he'd win regardless
Thought it would be common knowledge on a forum that often talks about it.
this is not a damn Warhammer or Lovecraft forum. also, Azathoth wins, every time. the end.
Thought it would be common knowledge on a forum that often talks about it.
Frequency illusion; just because you remember several people referencing those doesn't mean the average forum user knows what that is.
Warhammer 40k vs lovecraft mythos.
I don't know much about lovecraft mythos. But my cellphone swipe-lock is an "N" for Nurgle [editline]13th June 2016[/editline]
40k has it's own "old ones" (the Necron's lore ties into them, War in heavens, etc). The first insanely advanced and intelligent species who spread life around the galaxy? [editline]13th June 2016[/editline] Or maybe I shouldn't say anything. Chaos is alright though, it's funny how they fight and backstab each other in the realm of chaos more than the Orks probably do in their societies.
The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be. Not in the spaces we know, but between them. They walk serene and primal, undimensioned and to us unseen Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
In a fight between the Old Ones and the gods of Chaos, the gods of Chaos would never be defeated as they are the manifestation of the collective psyche of all intelligent beings in realspace. You can't 'kill' murder, pleasure, intrigue, despair etc. That is unless the Old Ones were able to wipe out all the other intelligent life in realspace; the life created or nurtured by the Old Ones and the life which ultimately created the gods of Chaos in the first place. And that is all assuming that the Old Ones wouldn't 'feed' the Chaos gods themselves. [editline]13th June 2016[/editline] By intelligent, I actually meant all life with a soul
