I do not know if I should be happy about this, I really like the new installement but I wished they included some of the dlc already in the main game. It feels lackluster at some point. I am not willing to pay more DLCs.
as long as it's completely new content and not stuff that was too late to get in (coughcoughasianthemedmapscoughcough) I'll be sorta ok.
Well, the new DLC will include new characters and some asian themed maps, aswell as a few new maps. Honestly this is not what Xcom needs. They should do a shitton of new maps or something that increases some variety into them, for instance spawn at different locations or make them day or night. Also this game does not need special characters, I do not get the point of that at all. They should also start fixing the bugs and get the balancing right, before releasing any DLC. This game is still flawed, even if I enjoy it massively.
Or release the tools, the game would be popular enough to get some sweet content IMO.
My major complaints are A:The Logistics of the Strategic game are literally designed to fuck you over so you are forced to abandon at least one continent and there is nothing you can do about it save for the rare saving throw council missions. B:I hate the over reliance on Monster Closeting.

Although this game looks like it will be heavily based on DLC, so the tools might take their profit. Might be a bit naive to think like that but this could be a concern.

[/QUOTE] Dunno about b, but A is exactly how it's supposed to work. You are never going to have the resources to save everybody and you will have to pick and choose who gets coverage or rescued and who gets colonoscopied by sectoids. That's how it was in the first game, that's how it should be in this one. Also, buying all the DLCs. All.
