I quite enjoyed windows 8, it was a lot faster and smoother than windows 7 for me.
The reason I went back to windows 7 was because randomly windows 8 screwed up and kept repairing (read: factory resetting) itself at boot. A quick google found that it is a common problem that has affected a fairly large amount of people.
If they fixed that they'd have me back.
Baby steps I guess.
I still won't get it, I didn't mind the lack of a start button, but the Metro Menu still annoys me from the Consumer Beta to now.
Its good that the pitch has changed back to starting with something familiar instead of "remember how everyone has used their computer for the past infinity? Forget everything because here's something completely different but we swear its better."
