Pornstars: Professional entertainers or glorified whores?

So, what does FP think about pornstars. Are they actors in a very specific area, or are they only a camera and a pathetic guy away from being prostitutes?
I think it's a bit silly how much attention they get, but then again, they aren't really whores. I can't pay them to have sex with me. But what do you think?

Well, it's kind of a step-up from the world's oldest profession, since they're depicting their profession in media form, as opposed to directly selling themselves. It's like selling pictures of pipes as opposed to real pipes.
The ones that work up a strong career, earn good dough, stay dedicated to their profession, all that jazz, those are the ones i'd call the "professionals", but the average hoe who takes it up the tailpipe for a few bucks and then moves on, THEY're the glorified whores.
But to be more exact, it all depends on the pornstars themselves, and not some lousy stereotype of people who only do it for money. If they enjoy their job and are good at it, then they're on the way to being professionals, but if they ain't that happy and only do it for the dosh, then they really oughta be looking for a better job, 'cause it's likely that porn might not be their thing.
I guess it helps if they have the right talent for the job, like endurance, flexibility, good looks, capacity (how much dick they can take), that kinda stuff.
I don't like double standards so I'll say professionals.

Professional:
1. Engaging in a given activity as a source of livelihood or as a career.
2. Performed by persons receiving pay.
3. Having or showing great skill.
Yes, a whore. But a professional whore, nonetheless.
They're good at what they do so professional whores.
The men are the real whores. Porn is almost entirely about the women, it's hard to find non-gay porn featuring a guy actor according to one of my gay friends, who I guess is an expert on that sort of thing.
See, women get all the attention in (generic porn film number 27-99999 here). The guys are almost always out of shot besides their lower torso, which makes them the real whores, because they're just having sex to have sex and get paid for it. It's pretty much the ultimate job, all it requires is a big dick.
Rate optimistic because I legitimately put effort into this post.
Professionals have standings.
And I don't think there is any kind of rule when acting for a porn movie.
So let's say whore.
