Ok, so my mom wants to watch youtube HD, so i bought her a HD3650. Only problem, the metal brakcet thing that holds the outputs in place is too big. Is it possible to get it into the case without buying anything?

its the small form factor one.
I am going to presume that you have a low profile PC. (im not sure because you did not provide a model number)
Low profile pc's can only hold low profile GPU's. A standard 3650 will not fit.
Only way you could is by cutting the top of your pc :P

Do not cut the top of your pc!
lol i figured on this. but i did put a link and told you which one it was...
thanks tho.

I spend 1 minute on the site trying to figuer out how it works.
Im lazy. and you are the one wanting help. :)

You could get a bigger case reasonably cheap, but if it won't fit then the only way is to cut. Don't cut. :P
ok, my mom doesnt care if i mess with my own comp., but she wont want me screwin with hers even tho i know what im doin'. No youtube HD for her...
You should of realized that you have a low profile computer and that you needed a low profile card. Completely your fault.
Just cut a hole in the side panel. Simple fix. Or you can sell that card and find a low profile one.
well i didnt know how big her case at her office was, but i didnt think it be a tiny ass one.
That's why tiny cases or non standard cases are bullshit. Either have room for a normal sized case or you don't deserve a pc.
Anyways, all you can do is buy another, low profile card.

wow you are dumb
You don't need a separate graphics card to watch youtube hd. Unless you have a very shitty cpu and/or you're trying to watch 1080p videos. Besides, if you want gpu acceleration in flash, you need to have the 10.1 beta installed.
@DrLuke
Wow, you are a dumbshit. Read the post, its my moms computer. All she does is process insurance shit, so she doesnt need a case that holds a couple hundred 5850's. and to the rest of u trying to help, thank ya much, but the card is skinny and the metal bracket thing is tall. can i replace the bracket?

If the card itself is a low profile card, and it's just the metal bracket that is too large, then yes, you can easily replace it. I'm surprised the card didn't come with the proper bracket, to be honest. There are usually 2 screws on the card holding the bracket in place. Just remove those and you're good to go. Heck, you can probably use the card without the bracket holding it in place, if needed. I did that for a bit with a modem. Not the best idea, but it's a temporary solution.
