• Bought new motherboard, CPU, and RAM. Computer boots up, but no POST.

OK, so I upgraded to a Gigabyte 970A-D3 Motherboard, an AMD Phenom II X4 975 @ 3.6 GHz CPU, and a 12GB Ram (3 4GB RAM DDR3 1600MHz). My remaining computer specs that I carried over from my previous build is an EVGA GTX 460 SE video card and a 750W PSU from Corsair. Now, when I plug up my computer and switch on the PSU from the backswitch and then turn on the computer from the front Power button, everything seems to be fine....at first. I noticed all the LEDs turn on, all the fans start running, including the CPU fan. However, for some reason the computer refuses to boot up to POST. I just get a black screen (no video signal) and nothing happens. I tried switching video cards already and I still get the same problem. I have yet to test my RAM or CPU, but I plan to do that right now. In the meanwhile, if anyone has any idea what could be causing this problem, please tell me. So far I'm unsure what's going on. Another thing I noticed is that after my computer on, I can't turn it back off from the front Power button. No matter how long I hold down the power button, the computer never turns off. I have to resort to turning off the PSU from the backswitch to shut it down. Obviously this might relate to my computer not booting up to POST, so if anyone has any idea what this means, please enlighten me. In the meanwhile, I'm gonna' keep troubleshooting. Thank you for all your support. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] Actually, I managed to fix the power button problem, turns out it was an unrelated problem. Nevertheless, the computer still refuses to boot up properly.
