How do i get good at vocal riffing and running like this? Separating the notes from each other is really hard. I find it helps to sound cleaner if i move my jaw on each note a bit or move my head around Stevie Wonder style. I can do it a little already, but i wanna master it like Chris Brown
Have a feeling you won't be getting an answer on Facepunch let alone fast threads.

The trick to singing like Chris Brown is to start a relationship with a female vocalist who is much more talented than you, and then beat the living shit out of her.
I'm guessing, anyway.
i've always put small distinct breaths between the notes and made sure to maximize vibrato
might be visualized as "yeeaahh-hyeaa-hyahh-hyeaahh-ee-eahhh" but none of the raspy H sounds should be audible
I think vocal running like this is a rather ugly form of singing. It does take a little bit of skill to do it, but too much of it just makes the song sound like mush. Don't get too hot and bothered if you can't do this, because it's probably just as well if you don't do it barely at all.

not like my opinion means anything though.
