Ok guys I'm giving you all a little more to work your magic with than posts in the past. My budget is in the $1100 range for a gaming PC that I am building myself and I need you guys to help me pick out the parts. (but the processor will be intel). I already have a windows 7 64 bit ultimate OS and I already have a monitor, so no need to worry about those. I will be buying all of my parts from newegg.com and any recommended newegg combo deals would be fantastic! All of your help will be greatly appreciated!
So you're wanting a KB and mouse?
So you're wanting a KB and mouse?
oops, that was a fail on my part. no sorry all I need is what does the "computing" sorry not really sure how to put it.
What resolution is your monitor?
What resolution is your monitor?
*sigh* well right now I am going to be using a 3 year old imac as the monitor but I will buy a real one later.
lol just buy a PC for $900 then, and get a 1080p monitor with it.
lol just buy a PC for $900 then, and get a 1080p monitor with it.
*BIG SIGH* well I am not wanting to build my own because I want a gaming machine, I am also doing it for the experience of working on my own computer and understanding it on that level. Plus if I tried to just buy a prebuilt I would have to buy it myself without any "educational purposes funding from the family"
uh what? I meant buy all the parts for a PC for $900 and a monitor for ~$200, my PC was only around $700 and it has an i5 2500k and a GTX 460, I can run Crysis maxed at 1080p with at least 2xAA, you can make a great PC with $900.

I'm just wondering if that's okay with you, don't want to build a $1100 build when you decide layer you want a monitor. Just trying to get out what you want exactly before I spend time doing this. I'll do a $1100 build with a monitor. Spend less on the ram, get something like G.Skill Ripjaws 1333. You won't notice 1333 vs 1600
Spend less on the ram, get something like G.Skill Ripjaws 1333. You won't notice 1333 vs 1600
but how is the kit overall?
It's OK. Also get a Spinpoint F3 instead of the seagate
Stay away from seagate. Also, if you are looking for a decent monitor still, I'd recommend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009266 I've got 3 of them and they're pretty amazing for the price.
