My Razer Tiamat 7.1 headphones cause the usb port to shut down.

For some reason whenever i plug my Razer Tiamat into a usb port all other devices on that group of usb ports shut down and the Razer won't light up or play any sound, it even shuts down the usb ports if it's just by itself. I tested this by plugging it in next to my mouse as soon as i did my mouse's led sensor went out. It was working fine yesterday but it won't work today for some reason. Any help?
It's not working on other computers i tried to use it on my laptop and my laptop threw up an error saying "power surge on usb port".
"Power surge on usb port" means that the two power pins on the USB port are being shorted.
Just be glad the power isnt shorted to the data pins, that ain't a pretty sight

If you have a decent mobo it would cut it's power and shut down, usually no harm done :v:.

mhm this was on the high current charging header on a gigabyte board, got a huge spark out of the port plugged into it and the header never worked again
