• £600 quid to spend - how's this looking?

As my current PC has slowed down I've got out of the habit of gaming quite so much and would like to put things to rights and sample the delights of gaming once again. I'm by no means looking for a top of the range gaming rig, I don't have the dough, but I would like to have a look at some of the games on the newer end of the spectrum. If anyone looks at this and sees anything that is vastly wrong/underpowered/cheap crap I'd appreciate your input. Any other ideas are also welcome. The following is a list of the components in the suggested format (thanks lazyV) that I hope meet the requirements and are within my budget. How's it looking? Personally. I think it's a pretty good system. I would however, try look for a better GPU though.
If you're going to be gaming you should definitely get a better GPU.
Get a 4670
A 4770 is perfect for mid-range gaming. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-133-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1434
Power Supply: Mains
I lol'd But seriously, why didn't anyone else notice this? You need a power supply to go with this system. e.g. Corsair 550
Power Supply: Mains
Very funny.

A 9500GT, yet you pick Windows 7? That's like getting a Ferrari, but putting a shitty engine in there.
A 9500GT, yet you pick Windows 7? That's like getting a Ferrari, but putting a shitty engine in there.
That's a horrible analogy.
Why did I get 3 dumbs and a bad reading.. He said £600 give or take £100
You need a PSU man. But select your GPU first as you need a PSU that can support it.
A 9500GT, yet you pick Windows 7? That's like getting a Ferrari, but putting a shitty engine in there.
It's more like taking a shitty, falling to pieces car and putting a Ferrari engine in it.
You need a PSU man. But select your GPU first as you need a PSU that can support it.
All you need is a 550W and you can support any single card and most dual card setups.
All you need is a 550W and you can support any single card and most dual card setups.
550w wouldn't support any dual card setup worth a damn.
550w wouldn't support any dual card setup worth a damn.
Yes, it does support some CrossFire setups. The 5000 series take less power. [editline]06:25PM[/editline] http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-5770-overclocking,2473-16.html Do your research.
Thanks for the input chaps, you've all been very helpful. Much appreciated. As a thankyou have a picture of the only ferrari I might be able to own any time soon.
Is that made of Legos?
Wool, it's knitted.

That's nearly every 4000 series card you would ever want to CrossFire. Also, two 5770s will beat a 5850 and sometimes a 5870, and it's cheaper to get the dual setup then it is to actually buy the 5850/5870. And my point was that most dual setups will work with a 550 watt PSU, regardless of how long you have it. Which is true.
This comes to £573.83 with VAT and shipping: Plus £110 for this monitor: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155601 As for mouse and keyboard you can spend anywhere from £10 to £100, personally I don't really notice much difference with cheap and expensive mice and keyboards but others will disagree.
You may get more bang for your earth pennies with the AMD system.
