Man, Battlefront seems to be shaping up to be a pretty awesome game! I wonder if there's gonna be any modding capabilities on the PC, assuming they haven't talked about that aspect yet.
My only concern is the number of planets and maps.
Also hoping for a clone wars dlc. Movies aside, the clone wars maps and stuff in battlefront 2 were my more favorite parts.
Yay! Something that was in the last game is in the next one. I know it sounds entitled, and I really am hyped and happy this is in it, but I feel like it's sad that we need confirmation that staple modes from the original are coming back.

I think they recently did hint at the fact that the toolchain used is just an unlicenseable mess
If they're staying exclusively in the OT era then surely this means they'll have to bring in the likes of Lando and Ackbar as playable characters to fill in the gaps.
I can't see Ackbar being Playable.
Lando however, yeah.

They did mention that as a fact. As for it being too complicated, that's really dependent on what you're trying to do. One guy did code an editor that lets you move objects around and actually see it change in game. (BF4)

I dunno Bioware has apparently or is making mod tools available to Inquisition which is the same engine as Battlefront.

Isn't recent, they've been saying that since BF3.
They use a lot of third part tools they would need to licence out.

Considering you have few people who've made mods for Inquisition it's technically feasible to develop mods with Frostbite w/o any actual tools. Granted if they gave out the tools and shit to actually give the ability to mod then they wouldn't need to release a new battlefield every few years. The thought of BF4:Project Reality gets a man giddy.
I can't help but feel there is still going to be a gap of hero and villian characters that can only be filled by clone wars characters or be made up of randoms. (That reptile head bounty hunter that the EU loves so much) or EU expanded ones (IG-88, Kyle Katern).

Bossk best bounty hunter.

IMO It's not staple if it's an Easter Egg when you pick assault on a certain map.
Plus IG88 was still shown in films.

I dunno why you'd hope for DLC for something that was in the previous 2 games then suddenly got removed from the third. Shouldn't have been removed in the first place really.
Why does the article say to open the link in an incognito window in Chrome? That part just made no sense to me. Am I missing some inside joke?

It's not really removed if it wasn't a focus from the beginning. They've stated that the sole focus of Battlefront was to focus on the Galactic Civil War.

They removed it from the overall series. First 2 had it then it's gone from the third.

That was different devs though. It's a new game.

Some websites will redirect you automatically to the correct region, especially if you've visited it before. Being incognito appears to prevent this. I could be wrong however.
This is fantastic news.
I'm really looking forward to this game.
People saying that it's too simple... but, Battlefront was always simple. And this is why it's going to be an awesome Battlefront game.
