• Getting HORRIBLE FPS in Crysis

Alright, I have a great rig, and I have been playing crysis for quite a few hours now, on all high settings with perfect no-stutter 30+fps. Now, I get the the mission [sp]to kill the alien exosuit on top of the aircraft carrier[/sp] and I get about .01 fps. I then tried switching to medium graphics and a resolution of 1280x768 (I usually play at 1980x1080) and I still have the same problem. I checked task manager, and it said I was using 3.84 GB of memory, I have 4 GB. Would this be the problem? Is there some odd reason why this is happening? I have tried restarting the game, and it still has the problem. Also, closing the game causes my entire computer to freeze up and require a restart. My specs: 4870 1GB 4GB Ram 800 DDR2 AMD Phenom II 940 (3.0 GHz) And yes, I do legally own Crysis, in case it is some kind of DRM
Post this in the H&S, they'll be more qualified to help you.
Use your cock. It worked for me I rated myself dumb :/
Post this in the H&S, they'll be more qualified to help you.
Then it would go in Tech Support, which gets about a post an hour.
Maybe set the priorities for Crysis to the max? I'm not very savant in technical stuff, but I know Crysis is a very demanding game.

something is probably overheating, probably gpu/cpu
Nope, they're both hovering around 60. I think it's the Ram, any idea on how to get around this? Has anyone else had the problem? I Already set the priority to high.
That is the most demanding bit of Crysis, when I first played it two years ago on a 4870 512mb E8400 @ 3ghz 4GB DDR2 RAM It was a beautiful slideshow on very high, driver updates made it much more playable as time went on. I suggest you try that. Have the latest patch for Crysis?
Download gamebooster.
Try forcing dx9. That level is know to cause problems.
eww amd processor and gpu? no wonder it suk

msconfig and services, kill all the background crap that you don't need. Or gamebooster.
gamebooster does not work people
It worked, thanks everyone Just beat the game I used the Dx9 method
Dude i play Big Rigs, you can play that game on a peice of shit literally.
gamebooster does not work people
I don't see why it wouldn't, but I haven't tried it myself.
Gamebooster only works for computers that don't have much to work with to begin with. It squeezes out what it can to make things a little more bearable for poor rigs. It's completely pointless to use it on high end rigs though.
Alright guys, I'm going to hijack my own thread a bit here, but I don't want to make 2 Crysis threads in one day. Quite a few mods have aroused my interest. I want to install them, but I can find NO information about how to do it on Google. Only 'Put in the appropriate folder' which means nothing.
