Totally deserves it, fantastic game
I started playing through it again and it is so good. I have no real complaints 30 hours in. A few nitpicks but they pale in comparison to the scale and detail of the games world.
Pretty much a must-play for every RPG fan.
It deserves it. I feel upset thinking about it because it's very possible that there will never be a game this good ever again, every game I have played since then has been compared to TW3 and they have all fallen short. I went in to TW3 expecting an amazing game since the prequels were and I was still blown away by the grand scale of everything. I only ever found one corner that was cut and that was a piece of water I found on some back area of Undvik that I wasn't supposed to be at
I was a little miffed about the graphics downgrade at first, but the fact that the game was absolutely amazing and I hadn't even reached Skellige after 150 hours and I hadn't ever been bored or felt it was tedious. It's mind-boggling just how good The Witcher 3 is, and how well it does when compared to other game.
Compare it to other $60 titles (COUGH NO MAN'S SKY FOR EXAMPLE COUGH) and look at the value you get with those dollars. And the 16 or 18 pieces of content that came at no extra charge. And the lack of annoying DRM that only punishes the payers.

I even feel like I robbed them because the expansion pass costs $25
I love that they keep using that picture of Geralt for every Witcher 3 article.
I think it may be the best game ever made.
The game is amazing despite some flaws, and has had much more put into it than any other comparable product of its kind. My only gripe is that I wish the ending for the Wild Hunt base game was more detailed and didn't end so quickly, and that there was more to do underwater, but that's about my only negatives in an otherwise fantastic product. I honestly wouldn't mind a Witcher online aRPG in the vein of Path of Exile, but it would be very tough to pull off. That said, I would still trust CD Projekt Red to pull it off successfully.

I don't know, I still can't really stand it. It has a handful of flaws in the core gameplay design that I just cannot stand, makes it really hard to enjoy the good aspects of the game. Still haven't played more than a few hours into it.

I just wish they would have made more from the story and gameplay.

I got bored plaything through the 2nd one and stopped. Is it a good idea to just get through it again before getting this one?
I think it may be the best game ever made.
I'd normally scoff at a comment like this but it's easily one of the greatest games I've ever played. You can tell that a ton of dedication and work was put into it. There are so many minor things that make the world they've crafted feel so alive.
