Hey all,
I have been given $1000 to be able to be spent on a PC for christmas, I already know what parts I want, and I know as time goes by the prices will change and there will most likely be better cheaper parts, and I will adjust the list accordingly, but what I'm wondering is when will be the best time to buy parts in the next 4 months? Taking into account new models of parts, and christmas sales and such.

about 10 days or less before Christmas.
New cards coming out, Christmas sales, etc. So get it after the rest of the 6000 series release, Christmas season, or if you can wait for the AM3+.
New Intel chips are coming in January if you can get another placeholder for Christmas morning.
