I know there's a way to play .mov's as wallpaper, but is there a way to make it so the iPhone uses live video picked up from the camera as wallpaper? Sort of like an augmented reality kinda thing?
Fuck that would be awesome, but i havent heard that it works.
To start with, it would drain your battery like a mother fucker. Second, why would you want that? it's not like it would look good.
And no, it wouldn't be like augmented reality at all, are you stupid? augmented reality is where the device uses the camera and picks up information on what it's seeing and displays that info so it's kinda like in the real world, so if you turn the info turns with it.

Oh, damn. I spelled wrong while being drunk on mah awesome christmas whisky and had 1 hour of sleep. At least you get what the fuck I mean, and I'm not being stupid calling something augmented reality as soon as there's a freakin video behind some icons.

Someone's an asshole drunk...
If you've jailbroken it, maybe there's a way.
I do not own an iPhone, but an iPod Touch, but I think it would go something like this;
You create a new theme, and place a link inside there called "Wallpaper" to your camera feed.
But this probably won't work, since your camera feed isn't likely to be a file.

I was thinking about it last night and I thought of that, maybe it'd be possible to code some kind of reference file to the camera stream or something... Anyone know of any popular iPhone development forums or sites I could ask this on?
