For some reason, Firefox refuses to utilize flash properly. Internet Explorer works perfectly fine with it, but Firefox doesn't seem to do it. I currently have 3.5, but the problem was also recurring when I was using version 3 a while ago. Does anyone know the problem for this?
Go to tools, options, applications.
Check to see if there are multiple listings for .swf(ignore other things just look for swf extensions).
If there is more than 1 you will have to delete your "mimetypes" file in your profiles directiory. I will try and find the directory again later though.
I had the same problem a while back and this is how i fixed it.
Also who rated him dumb? this happens occasionally with firefox.
I don't seem to have any .swf listings in there.
The problem could be that it's not installing properly, but I don't know what to do since I tried installing it a bunch of times, but it never worked.
I'm pretty sure it will install on your default browser, make sure Firefox is your default. (Tools>Options>Advanced)
Firefox is the default.
Bump for the hell of it since I still haven't solved the problem.
Reinstall Flash.
I tried that multiple times already.
