Double Fine never had much luck trying to get a sequel into production. Still waiting for that big sack of money to get Psychonauts 2 off the ground.
didn't tim schafer once say that "if the consumers want it, they don't really want it"??? [editline]3rd October 2013[/editline] which is his excuse for not making any sequels
I think he worded it poorly and the writers of that article took off with it. I think what he means is that people will say they want *GAME 2* but when they get *GAME 2* they'll say its not as good as the original, or not good because its not the original. I mean we see this happen a lot, especially when the sequel tries something new. And developers like Tim don't want to remake one of their old games with a 2 at the end. They want to try something new. Double Fine's release library and their amnesia fortnight stuff is proof of that. But doing something new means it can turn off fans of the first game. He believes that making a new game gives people another game they can come to love without needing to compare it to a game they consider nigh-perfect. And I can't really blame him there. I loved Psychonauts, its one of my all time favorites. But as much as I want a sequel, I know it doesn't need a sequel. Its a perfect one-off. And ultimately, I'd rather it just remain one excellent, memorable, great game. If it gets a sequel I'd be ecstatic, don't get me wrong. But if it stays as is, I support that decision.

Did they buy the rights to Brutal Legend or does EA still own it?
