So after being in my body for 17 years I noticed this morning I have freckles on my arms, and only on my arms. My mom is Scottish/Irish and has freckles all over and is a red head. My dad is Swedish and has jet black hair. I have brown hair, and blue eyes. Neither of them have blue eyes. Aren't you suppose to inherent your parents traits? Cause' I got like none, and why are my freckles so scarce?
Sometimes mutations occur, nothing abnormal.
I bet I was adopted...
Both your parents must have one blue and one brown gene for eye colour. The brown gene is dominant so they both have brown eyes. You have inherited the blue gene (which is recessive) from both of them, therefore you have blue eyes.

Both my parents have brown eyes, me and my twin brother have blue eyes.

Or your mother was having sex with a different man. Most likely.

Well both my sisters and I have different dads.

This, genes always come in pairs, a dominant and a submissive one. You probably got two submissive ones.

She was married to them.
If your earlobes are attached or unattached and both of your parents have ear lobes opposite to yours, you are adopted.

Mine are attached.
Mine are attached.
And your parents?
And your parents?
Dads gone, moms in the shower.
I have a good feeling that your just gay and your mom is a whore.
How did the gay come into this?
If your earlobes are attached or unattached and both of your parents have ear lobes opposite to yours, you are adopted.
Nope, if your parents both have attached earlobes, then you must have attached earlobes as well, because the gene for attached earlobes is recessive. If both your parents have free earlobes, then you can have either. This is similar to eye colour.

What is Rekam?
What is Rekam?
Uh, a cool sounding name?
Remember, several genes may skip generations. Do you have any grandparents or great grandparents with the features you describe?
I don't know they are too old to tell.
Freckles doesn't have to be genetic, although most of the time it is. Freckles are caused by the exposure to UV-B radiation to the skin, it causes melanocytes to start producing melanin more quicker and the resulting effect is freckles becoming more darker. If it is genetic it is related to the presence of the dominant melanocortin-1 receptor "MC1R" gene variant
A freckle is also called an "ephelis"
I wouldn't be too concerned if your mom has red hair, she has a mutation on the MC1R, which MC1R controls the production of pigment "melanin". Redheads over-produce pheomelanin which is the red pigment, she under-produces eumelanin the black, brown pigment.
If you father is carrying the mutated MC1R gene there was a chance you could have also been red headed. Even if the mutated gene was passed onto you, When you get drunk one night after prom, and decide to pick the girl who is also carrying the MC1R your midnight dumpster baby could also be red headed.

Most reasonable theory.
