Alright, here's the deal. I have an XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog XXX edition. A while back, I tried putting in a second, duplicate card back when I had a 500 watt power supply, needless to say, it didn't work out so well. My computer pretty much ran about the same as when I had one card, if not worse. Okay, I hopped onto XFX's website and checked out the card and they said they recommend at least a 600 watt PSU for SLI. Alright, so I decided I would take the second card out till I could afford a new PSU. A week ago I gathered $120 and purchased a Corsair 750 watt. Well, the problem is that I'm still running like shit. I'm still getting about the same frames and if anything, worse, like before. A 750 watt PSU should be plenty to power two of those cards. I tried switching out the bridge and switching the cards around, switching 6-pin power cables around. So far nothing, still the same performance and it's really bugging me.
So I want to know what you folks think is wrong. I know both cards are fully functioning. I had put the second card in a nearly identical computer and it worked nicely. I've turned on the SLI indicator with the Nvidia control panel, according to that, SLI is working. (Yes, I have SLI turned on in the control panel also).

What are you playing that you seem to be having the same performance in? Are you sure that the game just doesn't have V-Sync or a frame limiter on?
I've tried it on games like Crysis, Bad Company 2, Champions Online. I checked the settings on them all. I know Champions Online doesn't support SLI supposedly, but the SLI indicator shows the other card working.
What resolution do you play at?
1920x1080. I usually don't have much of a problem on medium settings on most games with just one 8800GT. But I don't notice any performance increase with two cards. I'm not quite sure if this is just what it is like, or if it's not performing as well.
