• Monitor Resolution Randomly Switching.

My monitor is, at max, 1440x900. After a while, I turn on my computer and then it just started at 1600x900. I check my screen res options and 1440x900 is gone from the options and now I have 1600x900, 1600x1024, 1600x1200 as options, with the lower res. If I try switching to a lower 16:10 resolution, the screen gets funky and starts doing weird stuff. So that is out of the option. I'm just wondering, if anyone has a fix for this? Or, is there an explanation as to why my monitor would randomly get rid of 1440x900 and put in those higher resolutions while making it impossible for me to put it on lower resolutions w/o the monitor being funky? This happened to me before, then after like a month of me dealing with 1600x900 it randomly switched to 1440x900. After a few months now it's doing the same thing over again. I'm confident it'll set back to 1440x900 eventually, but then I'm also confident this will happen again, and again. If I had the money I'd buy a new monitor, but that has to wait for next year, unfortunately. Thanks for your time guys! Link to my specs -> http://speccy.piriform.com/results/XKrlvIE48Dqd3mTVKMGmNRQ extra info- Montir is 17inch widescreen with max of 1440x900. The specs are stating that it's 1600x900 or w/e, which is untrue. I still have no clue why it does this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again guys :\
Usually something to do with the video drivers. Check that they're up to date, if they are up to date or the problem persists even when the drivers are updated, uninstall the driver completely and reinstall
I'll give this a shot.
