Skyrim's soundtrack is really nothing special.
The only music I enjoyed in skyrim were the tunes taken from morrowind and oblivion.

Nothing in it stuck out as really memorable. Maybe the theme, or the sovngarde theme, but everything else was just generic fantasy background music fare.
Also that version of Aerith's theme isn't even from a game. It's from a movie.

As far as I know FF VII is the only FF game because that's literally the only one people ever talk about.
I don't even remember any of Skyrim's music asides from that main one.

It was the first game on the PS1 and the first/only one people played. Which is silly because FF9 is also on the PS1 and hnngngngn that game.

All the songs have character to them, I love each and every one of them. For instance:

I think Skyrim's Soundtrack was just as fitting as oblivions. Skyrim's felt light, thin for the high up atmosphere, and got heavy when needed to fit into the importance of your job and role.
Oblivions was just as important in instilling the fantasy style of this deep and explorable world. It still brings back memories of playing for hours checking out every nook in that giant world.
Meh, MDK had a much better OST imho.

I fucking love video game music. So much.
Nobody will ever understand why I love it so much or why Aerith's theme can reduce me to a pile of rubble so easily.
To be honest I'd say that the Metro 2033 soundtrack is damn brilliant.
