It's always a shame seeing developers going out of business, but you can't say they didn't have it coming. Both Section 8 games were pretty mediocre and Aliens: Colonial Marines was terrible.
It's a shame. Personally I loved Prejudice, it had way more interesting mechanics than a typical FPS. Really neat little game especially for the price.
The problem is they divided the already-small player base by adding the DLC maps, since only a fraction of the players could play on servers running them.
