I got a virus on my laptop, and as I realized what it was trying to do(turn off my admin control)I immediately disabled the connection and shut down the computer, hoping that it wasn't too late. When I tried to turn it back on and get to my virus detector and remover, I realized that it had a stupid name that was immpossible to find, and by the time I had found it and started it the virus had spread too much, forcing the virus remover from being able to be used and trying to get me to use it's "specail" awesome version.
My computer restarted and now when I turn it on it goes through the whole boot menu and all of that, but after the password screen there is nothing but a blank screen with the mouse. I can't use start or any other function except for control alt delete thing which has been dumbed down to nothing I can really get help from. How can I fix it short of bringing it to a tech guy or getting another? I have this computer to help me.
Insert Windows Disk, Boot from CD, At the first screen you'll think it's gonna reinstall, but the next one will have a repair thing. Maybe you can use a restore point to go to before you got the virus.
