• Replacing primary HDD

For the last 5 years I have survived with A 320Gb HDD running Windows XP, the drive letter is C. I have finally decided to make the upgrade to Windows 7 and have gone all out, buying the best I can afford. I have bought a Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB, and want to make it my main drive with Windows 7 on it. I want to keep my old hard drive and change the letter for it, making it a slave drive. Is there an easy way to make my new drive C? Will my old drive fuck up my applications if i just change the drive letter through disk management?
Take out 320GB drive first Put in the 2TB drive Install Windows 7 on the 2TB drive Put in the 320GB drive If your pc registers the 320GB drive as the main one, go into Bios and set the 2TB as the primary drive to load from Then once you get to the Windows 7 desktop, you can either copy files over from your 320GB HD or you can just wipe the drive and set yourself as admin of it.
