• A little confused on these Ports
    6 replies, posted
Well I bought Sanctum and gave a copy to my friend. I hosted a game but he wasn't able to join it. So I looked into it and came across this thread [url]http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1808937[/url]. I logged into my router through my interwebz broswer. Went to go foward the ports but I got confused on one thing. I have verizon and when I went to port foward I clicked TCP Portocal but it has this. Source Ports: (Any,Single or Ranged option) [Box for the port] Destination Ports: (Any,Single or Ranged option) [Box for the port] To which area do I add the ports?
Use the same port on both. And you'll probably have to add all the ports for things to work without a hitch. Don't forget udp port forwarding too [editline]1st April 2011[/editline] Also, to add a range of ports just use the same as they did (27000-27039)
Oh ok so just put the same numbers and format for Source and Destination Ports?
yes
Thanks man ill let you know if it worked. :) [editline]31st March 2011[/editline] Damn I forwarded everything and he still can't join. Maybe I port forwarded in the wrong area
Alright can someone help me port forward these by using Team viewer please?
Are you sure you're giving him your external ip and not the local? Go here: [url]http://www.whatsmyip.org/[/url] give him the ip listed at the top of the page.
