I installed Windows 7 next to my Windows XP and now I want to remove it because it's no use to me.
How can I do this?
Delete the WinXP partition.

Oh sorry I meant Win7, I couldn't really think of why you'd want WinXP and not Win7.
How silly of me.

I'd say delete the XP partition anyways.
Slap yourself, and then talk to us about removing your Windows XP install.
You guys aren't helping.
I really want to remove Windows 7.

No?

Bolded to make it painfully clear.

Oh, I read it as 'Oh sorry you meant Win7'
Anyway, won't that fuck up my boot partition?
Anyway, won't that fuck up my boot partition?
you've got bigger problems if you'd rather have an outdated plastic swiss cheese OS over 7

Yeah, but you just need to run fixmbr and fixboot in the recovery console to fix it.

I've been reading that people have been having problems with games in Windows 7, and the GUI has been changed, I can't find the run prompt or command line prompt or anything. Basically, I'll have to relearn how to use a piece of shit OS rather than sticking with my perfectly fine Windows XP that I've had running for over a year.

You haven't even tried it for yourself?
:Dawkins102:
Yes, I did try it.. That's kind of why I installed it in the first place. I don't like it and I don't use it, so I want to remove it.
how can you not find the cmd?
theres a search box IN the start menu
or could you not find that either?
Also, the run prompt is exactly the same place as in XP

Well, to each his own.

People having problems with games in Windows 7 are idiots because I've yet to have one problem with any game i've had. Run is WINKEY + R or you can type it in the search bar. If you don't want to learn a new GUI that is hardly different than XP then you're an idiot afraid of change. But whatever, stick with your plasticky OS that has more holes than a #9 sponge and is approaching it's 10th birthday.
I mean, how different is this

from this?

80% of the shit is in the same general location...
Sorry I just hate people that blatantly defend a piece of shit.

Run? Win+r as has been in xp and in other versions of windows for some time. In case you need to get to cmd as well - just put cmd into the run box.
Oh also the search field in the start menu can work as run.
EDIT
Poster above me got it

I once read that the Earth is flat.
and the GUI has been changed
The only radical changes are the address bar in explorer has been replaced by a series of buttons showing your folder path (which is awesome), the quick launch bar has been merged with the taskbar (which saves space), and the start menu now has a search box built right in (which is fucking awesome).
I can't find the run prompt or command line prompt or anything.
Open start menu
Type cmd
Hit enter
Bang

Like GNOME?
Also, I use the Windows Classic setup.

Wow.
Do you watch TV in black and white and use rotary phones too?

No, I just enjoy the old simpler interface.

Simpler my pale ass
It's fairly obvious you made this thread to get attention. Any dumbass knows how to format, stop acting clueless. Although, if you're ditching 7 because "it's no use to [you]," then maybe you are clueless after all.
No, I really do want to remove it. I was just concerned about the bootloader, maybe I should've been more specific in the OP?

To be fair, the Run option isn't there by default. You can search for it, but for some reason something from Catalyst called "Restart Runtime" is the first result on my computer, so I can't just type Run and hit enter; I have to hit the down arrow too.

I also hate that behavior.
I haven't messed around with it in Windows 7, but it sucked in Vista. I prefer typing in my own paths, and being able to highlight a portion of a path and copy/paste or delete that portion..

or just hit Winkey+r

you can just click on the address bar once (not on one of the paths) and it gives you the full path.
Really I find the search bar on the start/windows menu more useful to me than run. I know run has different purposes but I don't need it very often.

And they updated paint how can you not like that

I was really wondering how fucking stupid you could be.
Now it's perfectly clear.

Oh, you've read about it, have you? Have you encountered any of these problems with games yourself? Does an OS with a marginally different GUI qualify for usage of the word 'relearn'? Are you just a fucking moron? No, No, and yes.
