okay so my friends computer just crapped out on him, and he needs a new laptop to take its place.
He has a budget of $700 usd but he said $800 is his limit, NOTHING OVER
he also said he will not be playing any games on it, so he doesn't need a laptop with a fancy dedicated card.
Basically all he needs is a computer with the best performance possible without a fancy gpu in the mix. He prefers a rather large hdd (~500gb) can be smaller, and a good amount of ram.
So, suggestions?
also, newegg is preferred

I don't know why they're unavilable at newegg but I'd recommend the Asus UL30vt.
But here's the version without the G210 graphics, not that it would matter that much anyway.

ofcouse he could just get something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157110&cm_sp=NotebookDeal-_-34-157-110-_-07112010
No games so no need for a very strong processor or very strong GPU.

Why would you recommend the Asus one? Rip off? Horrible Reviews. Low clocked Core 2. Small Screen.
If he doesn't want a net book, I'd say have him get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115817
