Alright, this summer I'm looking to either upgrade my computer or buy a new one.
My current specs are
AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor ~2.1 GHz
1918mb ram
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
er, I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to list.
Either way, can someone help me decide here
New one.

What is it you do on the computer?
Instead of jumping on the bandwagon it would be worth knowing what tasks he does at the computer (I'm looking at the above posters).
What kind of programs do you use?
What kind of games do you play, and what are you hoping to play in the future if any?
What's your budget like, can you afford getting a whole new PC when the PC you currently have may suffice your needs?
The computer there is reasonably ok. It might be a lot cheaper and worthwhile to just put in an extra 2GB of RAM and get a new graphics card. It can still handle a lot of games rather well.

Sorry dad.

Give me your old one.
Yeah new gpu and another 2 gigs will be quite enough, unless you want to play all new games on max in some huge res.

We get the point

There's one issue, I'm almost positive my mobo cant take another 2 gigs.
I'd loooove to be able to play any game at max. The highest quality game I can play is Fallout 3, but just barely in lowest possible settings.
And can anyone suggest a new gpu, I'd love to look at some
well you could get a new mac

Instead of getting extra ram to go with your current, you could get 2 sticks of 2GB. Unless your motherboard literally can not handle 4GB which I doubt is likely at all.
What kind of price are you hoping to spend?
Use CPU Z to get the specs on your current computer. You may get lucky and be able to plug in a new CPU and videocard, keeping everything else the same and saving money.
Your 8400 is crap for gaming, but your CPU is also sort of slow now even if it is a dual core.

And probably a new one we've got a sort of :bandwagon: effect going on here...
Alright, so I'm positive my mobo can't take anymore ram. My PC is an eMachine (LOL) so does anyone wanna help me put a build together? looking to spend 500-700USD on it. THanks in advance;D!
