Hi, my system recently crashed after I uninstalled Ubuntu from the second partition of my hard drive. I have tried to troubleshoot with the windows recovery console with varied approaches. "fixmbr" and "fixboot" have had no effect, except to change the error that I receive when rebooting. "Invalid partition table," "missing hal.dll," just restarting, and "missing ntldr" have all been errors that I have received.
At this point, I would just prefer to get my computer running again by completely wiping the hard drive, and re-installing windows.
Could anyone explain the best way to go about doing this?
arghh
To format, just boot into your windows DVD, choose the right drivers (if needed), choose the partition, click "format", then install windows on it :3:
You could just fix windows...
Boot into your windows DVD and do a startup repair
