yes
Get a desktop instead if you don't have one.
Get a desktop instead if you don't have one.
No. A notebook is something you can bring with you to friends and school and wherever you travel without much hassle, and I believe this is what OP wants. He also wants it to be able to run some games.
That will cover it well, yes. My ASUS is far worse than that and it can pull off new games with ease.
those specs are actually pretty fucking terrible if you can get an ASUS G72 with the P8700 and GTX 260M, it would be better, and it's only $750

If you want, you could check out this: http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/alienware-m11x?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=mn Unless you harbor some sort of immense hate against Alienware. [editline]11:22PM[/editline] I got mine as a gift, and it can run the Sims 3 on medium setting with no problem. I haven't tried it on a higher setting, but I'm sure it could do fine. Don't have very many games to see it's true potential though. :frown:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6500360&CatId=4948 I have this, it's pretty cheap and I run source games on all high.
Looks like it will run stuff ok. It's not something id personally go for though cause i think alienware are generally overpriced
