It's a damn shame about the bugs. I have Dragon's Dogma on the 360 and Dark Arisen on the PS3, I can't get enough of it.
A lot of people complain that there's a lot of backtracking, but that is the game. There are very few dungeons so exploring the world is your main activity, and there's a ton of stuff to find if you don't stick to the roads.
It would be a fantastic game to bring to the PC.

The exploring gets boring fast since the majority of the time the same enemies spawn in the same places every time. I still love the game though, but I must say that the eternal ferrystone I got from Dark Arisen made the game better. Killing the same pack of goblins every single time when I needed to go somewhere got boring fast.
the wind is pushing me
wolves hunt in packs
goblins are weak to fire
I thought SimCity was the only game that released buggy patches.

Having the base game on 360 and dark arisen on PS3 what platform does the game perform best on?
I heard at the original's release PS3 has fps issues and 360 had screen tearing but they could be patched by now.
I've also heard the the community is better on the PS3.

On the 360 I had my pawn summoned all the time, there were a ton of pawns at every level and I never had server issues. Sometimes textures would take a long time to load and there was some pretty bad lag when a lot of magic was going off at once.
On the PS3 I haven't had my pawn summoned once in almost a week since I started, there doesn't seem to be as many choices in pawns and I'm having constant server issues. On the other hand I've had no slow down or texture issues at all so far, so if there were problems on the PS3 they seem to have been fixed.

I'd put that up to the fact that it's been out on the 360 longer, but I may be wrong.
Anyways, I have it for the 360, but I barely use it. It's fun, though. The first time me and my legion of pawns fought a Griffin was the most epic thing I've ever done in a video-game.

Dragon's Dogma provided me with the most pants-shitting moment ever. I was walking through the southern region of the map near the cliffs and had just killed a Chimera. I saw some trees and decided to start walking towards them when I heard a noise. I turned around and A FUCKING DRAKE CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND HIT ME FOR ALMOST ALL OF MY HEALTH. I freaked the fuck out and paused the game. After a few minutes I unpaused and ran the fuck away.
I have now killed that Drake too many times to count.

The fight with the dragon was pretty fucking amazing. [sp]And the fight with the Senechal was pretty great too.[/sp]

[sp]For some reason, the fight with the Senechal was ridiculously easy for me. He literally never hit me, and in total, through all stages, I think it took seven hits to kill him.[/sp]
The game is incredibly fun though and I'd love to see a next-gen full sequel that preserves the gameplay while expanding on it and provides a much more massive world.
[sp]The Ur-Dragon, however, was a nightmare. I accidentally ended up in his chamber not knowing that what it was until he suddenly appeared and proceeded to just destroy everything. I just quit and reloaded from before the encounter and never went back.[/sp]
