I'm going to upgrade my PC. The current specs: E6600 2,4ghz 8800GT 4gb RAM I need a new motherboard, probably a new power supply, a new CPU and a new graphics card. My budget is around 600-700$. Can anyone help me?
What power supply do you have? You only need a new motherboard if you're upgrading to DDR3 and or a CPU that uses a different socket. Your system is actually pretty decent, so what I would do is get a Hyper 212+, stick it on the E6600, overclock the hell out of it and buy an ATi 5850 for the graphics card upgrade, meanwhile saving any left overs for a totally new system at a later date.
I don't remember the name of the power supply, but I know it's old as shit. My motherboard is not compatible with i7's for example. What is a Hyper 212+?
A CPU cooler, which you would use for overclocking the E6600
What do you have on monitor resolution? (Or what do you want)
1680x1050
Yeah so, Radeon 5770 or 5850 is enough for your actual monitor resolution.
