I have a file on my memory stick that i want to be undeletable... how would i do this??
-snip- Nevermind that was incorrect.
still can be deleted...
Make it run in processlist (hidden) and then it can only be deleted if process is destroyed.
and how would one do that?? it's a executable that has to be able to run with out admin privelages... I just want it so if someone plugs in my memory stick the yCANNOT delete this file
Give this a read, tried any of these methods? - http://www.tech2check.org/2007/11/make-undeletable-file-in-windows.html
Make the program autoplaying. So as soon someone plugs it in it will be ran and stuck in process list. If it's "hacking" software we are talking about. Then remember to set it to start up with the computer.
but autoplay programs on a usb drive don't work by defaul on anything older than vista without spiecal software and m2k3 i'll check that later, i can't atm, it's blocked by school web filter...
run linux > name file with "forbidden" characters (according to windows) > go back to windows and your file is undeleteable
