• Razer Carcharias - volume problem

Hi, my old headphones broke, so I bought these one - Razer Carcharias. I like them, but I have a little problem with them. I can't "mute" them. Basically, when I set lowest possible volume on the remote on the cable, I still can hear sounds from them (when I'm listening to music, video etc.). I would like to ask, if they are suppose to be (like in my case) or not. Thanks
They're probably broken. All gaymen headsets are built of tissue paper.

Check your keyboard for system volume buttons, my G110 has a mute button.
It's just bad design
Basically, you're telling me that they are designed to have "volume" range from approx. 10-20 to 100, not from 0 to 100 so they can't be totally silenced and that mean, my headphones are 100% alright and not defective. Be right?
Check your keyboard for system volume buttons, my G110 has a mute button.
Yes, I do have "mute" button on my keyboard, and yes it could "solve" the problem, but from headphones around 75€ and even from Razer, I didn't awaited this. So I'm kinda disappointed.
Razer isn't great, dumdum. And there have been other reports of it not going to the absolute quietest. Design fault.
Yeah razer sucks, return them if you can and buy some proper headphones. (Sennheiser/akg/igrado whatever) . 30$sennheiser 202's soujdbway better than the razers. This is also a known issue.
In addition to this, I had this set for a while and it also bleeds the line out to the line in channel. Listen to anything loud enough and anyone on skype/ventrilo/teamspeak/mumble/google hangout/whatever will hear it too. Glad I got mine for $40 so I resold them for a profit anyways.
Tip of the day: don't buy gaming headsets.

You buy it and find that they just sucks and nearly everything that was said in the review is not true. When I found that thing with volume, I tried to find something or someone with similar problem, but nothing. I'm little "shocked" hearing from you guys that it's a kinda "common" problem with these headphones (or most Razer headphones). They don't have a remote. Please, don't take me bad, but that is the main reason that I rather buy a headset instead of "just headphones". I do have volume keys on the keyboard but it's kinda "hopping and slow", and with the remote I can more precisely set volume and a lot faster. I've been looking for headphones and (alongside the things like Logitech G35, Roccat Kave, Razer Electra... which I've been thinking before) I found these KOSS SB40. Someone told me that the KOSS have quality made headphones and even that, I can apply some kind of "unlimited lifetime warranty" (or something like that). Are they good (or just KOSS headphones itself) as everyone talks about them?
KOSS are fairly good in general, but I haven't heard anything about those particular ones.
Koss is a solid brand, good choice. Alternative: Sennheiser has plenty of headsets with microphone and volume control. I would advice testing any headset you buy with your own music before you buy it, so bring a mp3player/ cd to the store. (Ow and dont get any 7.1 headsets or "gaming" headsets.)
