Do you people know if there is anyway to exchange my download speed for upload speed? Im trying to host some computer help conferences, but my upload speed is only 1mb, and some people have too much lag.
There's no way.

Call your ISP and ask them to increase your upload speed.
When i look at your avatar, i feel like you wouldn't be the best guy to ask from anyways.
Well, maybe in your opinion, but I really don't care, I play games wich i like. Anyway, on-topic: Maybe my answer was too short. You can't exchange you upload/download speed by modifying software or hardware, a way to change it would be to call your isp and ask them if they could change it in your internet package, but I guess the best way will be to choose a better package, but it will obviously increase the price...
You can probably ask them to either increase your upload speed, and pay more, or MAYBE (I've never seen it in practice, but I see no real theoretical reason they couldn't) you could ask themm to flip upload/download speeds..
Oh this isn't good. I asked them and they say i have to switch to cable modem (Using ADSL) and uh... I have a 2 year contract, D:
How are you uploading at megabit without being on Adsl?...
You can always look for enterprise ISP's in your area, and rent a small 5/5Mbit or 10/10Mbit from them over DSL It'll probably cost a little more, plus you might need some special gear to hook it all up, but you'll get 100% of what you're renting.
