Given the development time, it seems they're thin already. Trying to make a sequel to a giant series in 2 years?
Maybe DICE has doubled their team.

isnt this what they always do in bf games?

BF2 -> BF3 was a big jump.
BF3 -> BF4 looks like DLC.
Maybe we'll be surprised though
Wouldn't be surprised if the real reason has to do with the drama between EA and Nintendo at the moment.
Expected this but wow that is a lame excuse
Reminds me of this

If that's the case, then BC1 - > BC2 looked like DLC as well
Probably just because EA doesn't get to turn the Wii U into an EA exclusive system.
Wow.
EA is more mad at Nintendo than I thought.

At least they didn't use the "it can't run it" or "it's too weak" excuse.
Then BC1 - > BC2 looked like DLC as well
No it didnt. BC2 was way more fun and awesome than BC1.

I'd have to disagree. The single player was a huge step back, it lost a lot of the charm from 1. The multiplayer was an improvement, but that was about it. They did look quite a lot similar as well, so with that its fair to say BF5 (hate the thought of having to say that) should look insane. Just give me BF2143 (2144?) and I'll stop complaining.

Can someone elaborate on this? Because after playing some BC1 on PS3 and BC2 on PC I hardly notice any difference. The huds a bit difference but it still looks the same and plays almost identically to BC1.
Then BC1 - > BC2 looked like DLC as well
Have you played both of those games? They play and look completely different. They don't even look like they're from the same franchise.
Can't say the same for BF4 so far.

The difference between the mechanics, especially with the gunplay, is night and day.
Same goes with the graphics style where BC1 just tries to look realistic, and BC2 is more stylized.

BC1 had a better idea on paper with the free-roam SP environments, but it was terribly executed.
All the enemies were the same, all the environments were the same, and all the objectives were the same. It was INCREDIBLY dull and boring.

lmao
Every passing hour ever since the leak the screens, BF4 seems to be getting worse.
There is no way that DICE/EA can bullshit us since it wasn't that long ago that Crytek said that Crysis 3 was able to run on the Wii U fine.

If EA wants to release another game that includes Nintendo consoles, Nintendo should tell them to fuck off.

lol, cause we're apparently eons worse than Xbox/PS3 fans for some reason.

They already did, kind of.
Nintendo fans.. is that you, Pikachu231 ?

About that comment from the EA CEO:
Hey, John Riccitiello, it's not only the Nintendo fans that are pissed at EA, pretty much everyone is.
Nintendo fans.. is that you, Pikachu231 ?
Oh no, I have been seen through my disguise!
Have you played both of those games? They play and look completely different. They don't even look like they're from the same franchise.
Well what I was trying to say is, BC1 to BC2 took 2 years to make. Same timeframe as BF3 to Bf4 now. BC2 felt like a much more polished version with new things of BC1 which is completely fine.
It's just people especially Facepunch are so quick to judge what they saw in a single player campaign when we all know why we would get a Battlefield game, the multiplayer.
We have no idea if whatever DICE is gonna do for BF4's multiplayer is for the better or worse. It's too early to tell.
No it didnt. BC2 was way more fun and awesome than BC1.
Well yeah. All the more reason DICE may have a chance to redeem themselves.
EA CEO John Riccitiello also talked about Wii U ports saying, “The only reason we don’t even talk about the Wii U is because I hate dealing with Nintendo fans. I would rather give out fake excuses than have to put up with them.”
The real reason they have a stick up their ass is because nintendo declined having EA/Origin branding and EA netcode on the console.
Nintendo said no for obvious reasons and EA threw a hissy fit. I'm surprised they didn't pull the plug on NFSMWWiiU edition, though it'll be the last EA WiiU game we see for a while as far as I know.
Well at the time the game was pretty much finished so there was no point in cancelling it.
And to be honest Criteron did a fantastic job putting in the PC high-res textures, and giving the Wii U version superior lighting and effects compared to the other consoles.
No it didnt. BC2 was way more fun and awesome than BC1.
that's not the point, he was talking about the comment making it like the timeline of 2 years is what makes it "DLC"
just so everybody's up to par, look at this please

Still pissy about Nintendo not letting you turn the Wii U into the Origin machine, EA?
I don't think developers actually want to develop for Wii U.
Developers Are Running Out of Fake Excuses For Not Porting Games to the Wii U
lmao the devs don't want to release games for it, so what. Gamers already have enough plastic boxes that play vidya in their house and don't to spend money on another, so what? If the Wii U continues to fail it's not the evil devs faults, it's Nintendo's for not appealing to consumers. Not all products are a success just cause they exist.
