Friend whom i've been playing TF2 with is going to buy a new pc. So I recommended this: Antec 900 Sapphire hd5870 Corsair 650w Corsair 4gb 1333mhz ddr3 p55-ud3 gigabyte lga1156 i5 750 2.66hz Win 7 Ultimate Mugen 2 (He's taking his old hdd and dvd drive.) =970£ Is this a good build? Initally he was going to buy something like alienware for 3000£. Took some time to get him change his mind.
What's the budget? [editline]08:25PM[/editline] Also, pound sign goes before the number [editline]08:25PM[/editline] If he wants to buy an Alienware, he won't be able to build a pc :clint:
What's the budget?
Yeah told you about that one, he was willing to pay for that Alienware. Shit, thanks for correcting. I'm obviously not from UK and use euro in here.

Motherboard manual obviously tells what to do. I read it on my first build and got it done. I bet he can do it too. [editline]08:30PM[/editline] That build is worse than the one I made. :/ [editline]08:31PM[/editline] Also it has Mugen 2 and Win 7...
How is that build worse? It has 6GB of DDR3 RAM and 2 5850s. Just take off the HDD and DVD if you have to and use the money to get Win 7.
Obviously that ram isn't going to make a difference. One strong card is better than 2 weaker cards. [editline]08:47PM[/editline] So am I just dumb here? Should I just suggest that build then?
So am I just dumb here?
Yes, 2x 5850 is better than 1x 5870

He isn't sure from where to buy, so which site is that from?
Win 7 Ultimate
Not sure why you would use this operating system for gaming, The only real reason pay the extra money for ultimate is all the language packs and I doubt he needs them.
