• DVD Drive can't read discs.

About a year ago I bought a new PC, it's a great one and I don't really have any problems with it, until now. Because I mostly use Steam and my HDD, I practically never used my DVD drive. A couple a weeks ago I tried to reinstall ARMA 2 and my DVD drive wouldn't read, it wouldn't show up on my PC at all. I figured it was just a problem with the disc and I downloaded it from Amazon. But now I'm trying to install a brand-new game and it still won't read it. I've spent a couple of hours looking up stuff but I still haven't found anything that actually. I've tried deleting the filters in the registry, uninstalling the drive, downloading the new firmware and it still won't work, I'm at my wits' end.
Open up your pc and check the power and SATA cables going to the drive.
If all else fails just buy a new one, they're dirt cheap nowadays.
