Hey guys I'm using the HP DX2250 and I might be getting a new gaming computer but if I'm not I'm just curious of the upgrades I could get for this. Current Specs AMD Athlon 5000+ X2 Dual-Core 8600GTS 512MB EVGA 2GB DDR2 (Dual Channel) Some PSU not stock. HP Part-Sufer (http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?type=PROD&SearchText=GB008PA) Has a list of parts that come or work with the DX2250 and apprantly my Dual-Core is the best it can support. Now that Dual-Core is a recent gift so I'm happy with that but I'm curious about any other upgrades I could get and if that part-surfer is a bunch of bullcrap. This is also a slightly small computer so I don't think a giant graphics card would ever fit it. I'm entirely happy with what I'm got but I'm just curious but the pros here at FP think I could upgrade; I mean hell show me anything just for down the road or fun's sake. Yes this is an old 2005 business computer.
I would just save up for a new PC considering the fact that the PSU is 5 years old and is bound to blow out soon. And I don't think you can get a PSU compatible with prebuilts such as HP, but I'm not so sure.
I have a new PSU actually.
