I believe the news forum should not be a sub-forum and actually a main forum due to its popularity and fast content; I think by making it a sub-forum, the number of people viewing that board will decrease leading to:
> Less viewing and hence less value of published threads.
> Less newer people contributing threads and pre-existing users feeling less value and being deterred.
> Less posts from users casually viewing the board.
I believe the changes to that board will lead to much less activity on it and that board is the reason why myself and a few others use Facepunch as heavily as we do; therefore could it please be a separate board? :D
Thanks!
Nah, it's fine as it is now.
Sure it's a very popular forum so I wouldn't mind it being higher up, but it doesn't suffer that much from being a sub forum. The only other thing I wouldn't mind would be if they switched places with the "News node" and "sensationalist headlines" so the former would be a subforum and the latter the main forum.
It does however not need more moderators, it's perfectly fine really.
No need, people who read the "in the news" will still go there and post content or reply just like always.
(Just a note that it's always been a subforum, it just has a different parent now.)
there's a thread in GD where you can make suggestions about this
[editline]20th May 2011[/editline]
it's also been brought up there about a hundred times
