This is a B.S. problem. I can't play any of my games for 5 minutes without a lag starting up. I never had this problem before. Any solution that doesn't require a new connection? I run my games on the lowest setting but it changes nothing.
Is it all of your steam games?
Yes. Css, Dod:s (this one usually can run for 10-15 minutes) I was just given TF2 and even that one is fucked.
Hmm Strange. Try Deleting the ClientRegistryBlob (Did i spell that right?)
I'll give it a try. [editline]10:36AM[/editline] Did nothing. [editline]11:05AM[/editline] Bump for help.
Could be an overheating issue with your computer. I highly doubt it's to do with steam. Deleting the blob file wouldn't correct it. Run SpeedFan whilst playing the game and monitor temperatures before and during playing and on the 5 minute mark and post your results.

I have this happen when I join a game through the Steam Server Browser as opposed to the game's browser.
How do I get to speedfan from Driver mender?
Just download SpeedFan here: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php PC specs?

I can't tell what's what. Also what GPU are you using?
Yes, if it's progressive like that, then it's most likely getting too hot. Try cleaning the dust out with a compressed air canister (not a vacuum). If cleaning out the dust does no good, then you might need to increase the speed of your fan, or take your heat sink out and clean it.
Uh. HUH?! 150°C ? :wtc: [editline]04:38PM[/editline] Ahh, you wrote it goulashy.
115 and 128 C? Holy crap man!
Use HWMonitor. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html It'll be clearer for us.
If I'm reading those temperatures correctly, your computer is purposefully underclocking its components in an attempt to not kill itself from heat.

Anyone can help me? this has gotten very depressing, not being able to play my games. The only one that gives me the hints that I can ALMOST play it is Gmod which is a lot less choppy than the others.
Your GPU appears to be rather warm As in house warmingly warm Unless i'm reading that wrong, something may very well be up with your Gpus heat sink
Is that what's affecting the speed of my games?
Your GPU appears to be rather warm As in house warmingly warm Unless i'm reading that wrong, something may very well be up with your Gpus heat sink
rather warm? op those temperatures are insanely hot, dust out your gpu/reset the fan
HOLY MOTHER, Check your GPU fan!
And according to google, the 9100 is an integrated chip (Possibly ruling out any extreme overheating) But the 9100 isn't really a card that would normally be used for gaming, so it may be a hardware issue Blast my automerge! edit: Actually yes, it's probably just a hardware issue That still doesn't explain the apparent small sun that's formed in your case
I know this problem all too well, you have a heat issue, which I had too with my 9400GT. Well my solution was to put a room fan in the opening of the case, but keep in mind that is blows dust in then so clean regularly. It is much smarter to buy a case fan after awhile.
Would this be your computer by any chance? In all seriousness, you need to dust that stuff out pronto!
I'll make a note of it. I have no control over this computer though and my dad is a lazy motherfucker.
After some more digging, I came across this thread over on the nvidia forums: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=99637 (sadly even over there is degraded into a vista V xp argument) This person has been having exactly the same problems (I came across A few others with this theme, but this particular one gave the best example.) It appears to be a problem with the geforce 9100 This is a notable highlight:
the geforce 9100 is as low-end as you can get. it will perform poorly on almost ANY current games, except windows games like solitaire.
So, obviously I reccommend an upgrade
Damn. [editline]10:59AM[/editline] Well, thanks for trying though. [editline]11:07AM[/editline] I used to be able to play Css until the update. I don't think the graphics changed that much did they?

As in were you playing a game when you got those temperatures, or were they just from browsing the web?
