Command and Conquer Renegade back in 2004ish really did it for me. I'm 18.
Colin McRae Rally, the very first one. It was so much ahead of it's time back then. And so much fun, too. And I love Codies for keeping the series alive even when Colin himself isn't.

Playing Half-life Source: Deathmatch LAN battles at my friends house. He's since moved onto Consoles, I started getting all the old Strategy games like Cossacks, Alexander, LOTR Battle For Middle Earth etc.
