PotPlayer 1.5.27313 (From the creator of KMPlayer)

PotPlayer was created by YoungHuee Kang, the creator of KMPlayer, which is a rich-feature media player. While KMPlayer development has stopped... Kang moved to a new player, PotPlayer. It's really nice and my media player of choice.

PotPlayer is a freeware Multimedia player. Supports almost every available video formats out there. Player contains internal codecs and there is no need to install codecs manually. Other key features include WebCam/Analog/Digital TV devices support, gapless video Playback, DXVA, live broadcasting.

Seems pretty Cool.
also quite nice GUI.
whats it got over VLC or the Shark007/CCC codec pack ?
Why would you use this over MPC?
The changelog page nearly gave me a seizure

Just for the name.
I remember KMPlayer having excellent support for TV tuners, though I got rid of mine since it wasn't compatible with this computer (Only had 32 bit drivers).
Since it seems to support all the things I use (madVR, ReClock, ffdshow, CoreAVC) I'll be giving this a try over MPC...

Internal codecs are great - comparable quality to ffdshow+CoreAVC, and better filters than ffdshow. Just add madVR and Haali and it's an absolutely perfect media player.

Really loving this compared to MPC, VLC or any other player I have ever used.
Interesting... I'll keep an eye on it!
I'll stick with VLC.
I'll try this out

I like it.
Oooh shiney
Hmmm, I updated this through the program itself but half of it seems to be in Korean and I have no way to change it. :/
I just want MPC-HC with an interface that isn't ass
Ah, I found it! You have to choose the Default_en skin
[editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
The new skin looks a lot better:

you should be watching the video not the ui
besides, what is wrong with it?
MPC has that.
Can you pause the video and advance frame by frame like in Quicktime? I do want a new video player but I really need this functionality, unfortunately Quicktime seems like the only player that has this.
Isn't Quicktime the worst coded video player? Or was that something else?

It can do better. F goes forward one frame, and D goes backward one frame (although if you've skipped ahead a lot of frames, D sometimes jumps back a few seconds). And ctrl + c copies the frame to your clipboard (though both GOM and KMP did this too).

Really loving it so far. (Those crosses are bookmark markers; would prefer something a little less gaudy but aside from that aspect of the skin, I prefer it to most of the others).

Quicktime and iTunes on Windows are pretty heinous.
is there an autohide interface similar to the w7 media player? even if most people hate WMP for its features and buggyness, it has the nicest interface out there tbh :P

Not that I've found, unfortunately, but if you're looking for a minimalist skin, try kmp2_en.dsf:

(trivia: from a Ratatat gig I went to).
Brett, you need to update it. Just click check for update under one of the dropdowns.
Can someone explain to me what the relation between this and GOM Player is? Because they seem to be almost exactly the same.
I'm sorry for bumping such an old topic, but I'd like to say I've been using this since this thread popped out, and it's far better than VLC. When pausing VLC the audio likes to play for a second more, and it doesn't pause exactly. PotPlayer is flawless, and plays everything I need right out of the box.
