• Crashing During Games.

I know I've mentioned this in other threads, but I need to fix this shit now. My system crashes about 3 minutes into gameplay. All temps are fine. I replaced the processor, same shit, replaced the mobo, same shit. My gpu is only 2 months old. All tests on 3dmark06 pass except the one cpu test. I updated all my drivers too. What the hell could this be? Specs: 9800gtx+ E8400 @ 4GHz (tried at stock clocks too) N7ad-SLI mobo 740i chipset corsair 2x2GB 800MHz ram BFG 550 Watt PSU
Post your current computer specs.
Specs in OP. [editline]05:25AM[/editline] Oh and I even tried it on Windows 7 ands on a clean install of Vista.
what do u mean by system crashes, does it restart or something else. my comp would shut off and restart when i went into games and heavy graphical stuff when i had my old psu. i now got the corsair 750w and no longer a problem. but 550w should be good enough for ur specs but thats the only problem i see, so my suggestion is if possible try a different psu and see if it works then u know wut to replace
I mean screens go black. I have to manually turn off then on. I called BFG, the PSU is near perfect. I ran tests on Burnin Test, during the 3d graphics, the program shutdown. I believe it is the GPU. I heard that it can mess up the VRAM or something and affect the CPU. Confirm?
Oh.. Driver problem. Reverse.
Driver for the gpu? I'll try it. If it turns out to be a driver problem after all the shit I did, I'll be mad, but happy at the same time.
Either GPU drivers or RAM Probably RAM. Also check for overheating.
I suggest adding more Ram and changing the Power supply to a larger one.
I suggest adding more Ram and changing the Power supply to a larger one.
There's absolutely no need for any of that. [editline]03:01AM[/editline]
Either GPU drivers or RAM Probably RAM. Also check for overheating.
I ran a test on the ram, it passed. BFG concluded it is the GPU and is somehow interfering with the cpu during games. On the desktop I have no problem.
