http://www.sculptris.com/ DrPetter (creator of sfxr) had just released version 1.0 of Sculptris today, and there's also an accompanying video which demonstrates some of application's features and sample 3D models that other users had made with the sculpting tool. Anyone can start sculpting models by playing around with the basic features of the application, but it will take a bit of experimentation and reading up to learn how to use Sculptris effectively to create great-looking 3D models. The included documentation file has a detailed rundown on the interface, buttons, and shortcut keys, and you can also head on over to the Sculptris forums to post your questions there or just to showcase your works. Or you can just show case them here. :bandwagon:
Revolution? Isn't it just a zbrush clone?
Well, this is not really a revolution. It looks like a small, freeware version of Z-Brush. It's still nice though. damn, ninja'd.
Wow.. it's really easy to use
well... it's nice but I will just stick with my mudbox.
this is really nice and easy to use
I don't get it how people can make such awesome models out of this. I mean, look at that troll. Must've laid hours of work in it to make it look just right. The mirror divider helps and all...but shit mang.

oh. Well, whatever.
There was a thread about this in GD I think. It was really interesting. Though did we have the texture tool or was that a beta?
That was a beta, this one has more features. Looks easier to use than Zbrush though.

.... so it's just a dumbed down clone of Zbrush?
Pretty fun to play about with.
.... so it's just a dumbed down clone of Zbrush?
They dumbed down the price too! Can you believe it? It's an amazing 0$.
You can't call it a clone of anything, the idea is old. There's a program older than zbrush for this, called Amorphium.
Wow.. it's really easy to use
looks shitloads easier than Zbrush. is it good?
looks shitloads easier than Zbrush. is it good?
I wouldn't export models right out of the program, though it's pretty fun to work with.
It makes TONS of poly's, so you can't just use the models in something like source right away. I use blender to lower the poly count, and it can go from 40K to 4K polys while looking the same still.

This thing took about 2 minutes of messing around with. Kind of the start of a bulls head model. I just made the horns and was like oh a bull.
