Okay so my buddy has this problem, he doesn't have any more space on disk C, so he wants to install Episode Two on disk E, how would he manage to do this?
He can't, you can only install steam games where steam is installed.
Or like, you could just move some other non Steam related files over to :E so that you have enough space on :C.
I could use some info on this subject too.
And moving non Steam stuff might not be an option, you never know.
install steam on disk E aswell, run whichever exe you want? Would be a huge pain in the ass though. Can't he shift some stuff to disk E so it will all fit or maybe shift ALL of steam to Disk E instead?
backup all the game shit
Uninstall steam
Reinstall steam on E
Just tell him to install a copy of Steam on E: as well. I used to have two copies, one on C: and one on G:, which was an external drive. Just make sure you link to the right Steam.
Symbolic Links(Or Hard Links), located on another drive.

This is what I do, run steam off another drive entirely.

Just copy the whole steam folder over, easier
Move the entire steam folder onto the other hard drive. Uninstall steam, then install steam and tell it to install to the location that you moved it to. This will clear everything up, I have gone through the same thing, steam takes up a LOT of space if you have as many games as I do XD.
