• Modem gets stuck on the "send" light

It started happening yesterday and I don't know what's wrong. The modem gets some activity for like 5 minutes and then promptly goes back to send and stays like that for the rest of the day.
What brand and model?
What brand and model?
I don't know the model but I know the Brand is motorola. It's a Motorola SurfBoard SB4200 Cable Modem Also late replies because I can't do shit until I use the school's internet the next day.
Ring your ISP and get a replacement. I had an old surfboard that used to drop out every 10 minutes. I rang my ISP and they sent a guy round with a new one. I had no issues after it got replaced
So I now have activity on the modem (after changing the MAC address) but the internet runs slow as fuck and apparently even when directly connected to the router my xbox cannot get the internet but my laptop is getting wireless internet?
Well as it turns out all I had to do was change the MAC Address and now the modem is working perfectly fine. The problem is not fixed however, as it so fucking turns out my family has been stealing internet this entire time (using a [I'm assuming hacked] type of DNS server to get our internet, I was unaware of this for 4 years). Now pretty much we have to start paying for the service which they probably won't because they have wireless internet working somehow on their laptop but I don't have shit. Mods you may lock this thread considering it was about me trying to fix my modem, mission accomplished but another problem arises.
