When I try to download the newest OS for my iPhone 4, it gives me a message saying that the network connection timed out, and 528/568 of the way through, it crashes and I have to start it all over again. is there a way to stop this piece of shit program from deleting the half-gig it downloads everytime it decides to fall asleep?

you can try downloading the package from here [url]http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/[/url] through your browser. I think there are instructions on how to load the file into iTunes once it's finished on that site.
