Probably a stupid question, but is there a way to disable that obnoxious ringing when someone calls you with voice chat in Steam? My friend uses it to get my attention when I'm ingame and have message notifications disabled and it drives me insane.

Not sure, but can't you just tell your friend to stop?

I have, but he claims it's important and calls anyways
You can probably replace the sound file with a really quiet/blank one
