Overclocking a PX4 9850 BE to 3GHz

I said to a friend, "What should I get, an i5 or a 5850?" He said that I should get a 5850 if I overclock my CPU to 3ghz
What settings do I change in the BIOS/AMD OverDrive?

Specs:
Phenom X4 9850+ Black Edition @ 2.5ghz
4GB DDR2
2x 4670 512mb
750gb hdd

He's just about right. I'm not an OCer myself (stuck on a god-damned laptop), but plenty of people on here will know what to do.

I managed to get it to 2.8ghz by changing the multiplier from 12.5x to 14x.. not messed with anything else yet
